Ahead of the company’s keynote, another foldable smartphone has reportedly visited the Chinese 3C certification website, revealing some key details. The smartphone is rumored to be the Honor Magic Vs 2 and is expected to be an external folding device. However, no official details about the smartphone have been released yet. Meanwhile, the Honor Magic V2 is already available in China.
according to a Report Honor may expand its line of foldable smartphones with the rumored Honor Magic Vs 2, MyFixGuide reports. The smartphone, which is expected to debut later this year in October, has recently visited China’s 3C certification website. The model of the alleged mobile phone is VCA-AN00. It is expected to be the company’s first outward-folding device. The listing also suggests that the Honor Magic Vs 2 may support 35W charging and 5G connectivity.
Earlier, a foldable smartphone suspected to be called the Honor Magic V Slim was spotted in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, codenamed “Victoria”. However, it is now said to be launched under the name of Honor Magic Vs 2.
Meanwhile, the Honor Magic V2, which will be showcased at IFA 2023, was launched in China last month. The smartphone is equipped with a 7.92-inch full HD+ (2,344×2,156 pixels) LTPO OLED internal display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.4%. On the outside, the phone features a 6.43-inch full HD+ (2,376 x 1,060 pixels) LTPO display panel that offers up to 2,500 nits of peak brightness and 120Hz refresh rate.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage. It runs on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 out of the box.
