Reliance today (September 19) launched Jio AirFiber in eight Indian cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. The wireless network solution was launched at the 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries last month. Jio AirFiber allows users to access the internet at speeds of up to 1Gbps and offers over 550 digital TV channels and over 16 OTT apps.
Jio AirFiber is the latest wireless network service offered by Reliance Jio and is currently available in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. It’s a wireless single device that plugs into a power source and acts as a Wi-Fi hotspot. According to Jio, it allows TV or broadband users to upgrade to a world-class home entertainment, broadband and digital experience through integrated services. Jio AirFiber plans start at Rs. 599.

As mentioned earlier, Jio AirFiber users will have access to over 550 digital TV channels and subscribe to over 16 OTT apps including Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, SonyLIV, Voot Kids, Voot Select and Zee5. It is said to provide Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet at home or business premises. Can connect multiple devices simultaneously, including smartphones, PCs, smart home IoT devices, tablets, smart TVs and set-top boxes without affecting network speed.
In addition, Jio is also providing free Wi-Fi routers, 4K smart set-top boxes and voice-activated remote controls to AirFiber customers.

The new plans can be purchased through Jio.com or the nearest Jio store. Users can also utilize the connection to start booking on WhatsApp by placing a missed call on 60008-60008.
Jio’s latest AirFiber plan will directly compete with Airtel Xstream AirFiber service.
