Thermometers may not reflect conditions across most of the country, but summer is drawing to a close. Labor Day may not be the official end of pool season and sweltering heat, but it’s a dividing line for many people, eagerly awaiting the day of pumpkin spice, giant skeletons and holiday gift giving.

Is the stock market open on Labor Day?
