Moto G84 5G Tipped to Debut in India in September, Might Feature 120Hz Refresh Rate Display

Well-known informant Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) has Give way India launch schedule and some specs of the Moto G84 5G on Twitter. According to Sharma, Motorola is said to be launching the phone in the country in September. It is available in Viva Magenta color and has a vegan leather finish.

The source also said that the Moto G84 5G could feature a 10-bit pOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It is expected to come with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The leaker has also released renders of the phone, which match up with previous leaks.

Leaks from last week suggested that the Moto G84 5G would feature a punch-hole display design and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is expected to debut in three colors of black, gray and red.

The Moto G84 5G is expected to serve as the successor to the Moto G82 5G and Moto G73 5G. The former was launched in India last June at a starting price of Rs. 21,499 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the Moto G73 5G was launched in March this year with an initial price of Rs. The only 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs 18,999.

The Moto G82 5G is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, while the Motorola G73 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 930 SoC. The Moto G82 5G has a triple rear camera setup dominated by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, while the Moto G73 5G has a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup.
