Aria, Opera’s AI browser assistant, has arrived on iOS devices. Developed in partnership with ChatGPT maker OpenAI, the AI assistant is now available to all users of the Opera browser for Android and Opera One for desktop. Aria was launched earlier on Opera for desktop and Opera for Android. The company claims to have more than 1 million users on both its desktop and Android versions. With the latest iOS release, Aria is available on different platforms such as Opera for Mac, Windows, Linux and Android.
Aria Assistant works similarly to other chatbots including ChatGPT and Bing, providing answers to users’ queries within seconds. The new free AI tool works on Opera’s own “Composer” infrastructure and connects to OpenAI’s GPT technology. Users will be able to browse the web and can be used for information retrieval, text or code generation, and product inquiries.
Aria is currently available in over 180 countries around the world. Users must be logged in with an Opera account to access this feature. Opera said that users can choose the artificial intelligence experience according to their own preferences. Once activated, iOS users will start getting insights, ideas and voice commands.
In addition to the latest chatbots, the Opera browser for iOS includes a built-in ad blocker and supports Apple’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention to prevent third-party tracking of cookies and cookie sessions. iPhone Browser also comes with a built-in free VPN service.
