OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, will make its global debut on September 25, with a public beta testing program for these updates rolling out to select smartphones next month. In addition, OnePlus 11 users in India and North America can recently download OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1, while OnePlus Nord 2T users with the Indian version of the phone can also apply for OxygenOS 14 closed beta. The company has now announced its schedule for rolling out public beta updates for its other smartphones.

The notable exceptions to this update are OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro users. OnePlus Nord 2, Nord CE and Nord CE 2 users are also not listed to receive the update. However, OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord N20 SE will receive the OxygenOS 14 stable version directly.

OxygenOS 14 Beta is expected to offer improved photo and video-related permission management capabilities through more secure app access. It’s also expected to improve system stability, app launch speed, and the smoothness of on-screen animations.

OxygenOS 14 beta takes a natural, soft, and clear approach to color and is said to also enhance the skin’s “Aquamorphic Design” for a more soothing color experience. In addition to redesigned system notification sounds, the update also includes new water-themed ringtones. According to the company, it also has a carbon monitoring AOD that shows how much less carbon emissions are produced when people choose to walk rather than drive.
