Realme Buds Air 5 and Realme Buds Air 5 Pro will go official in India on August 23. The new audio device will be launched in the country alongside the Realme 11 5G and Realme 11X 5G smartphones. The new True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones are said to come in two different colorways and feature an in-ear design with stems. The regular version of the Realme Buds Air 5 is said to come with 12.4mm drivers, while the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro are confirmed to come with 11mm drivers. They offer Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) to reduce external noise by up to 50dB. The Realme Buds Air 5 is expected to succeed the Realme Buds Air 3 earphones.
In a media invite published on Friday, Realme confirmed that the Realme Buds Air 5 and Realme Buds Air 5 Pro will arrive in India on August 23. The launch event will begin at 12:00 noon Indian Standard Time. The teaser page suggests that the Realme Buds Air 5 and Realme Buds Air 5 Pro will feature an in-ear design with stems. The former is shown in blue and white options, while the latter is listed in black and white shades. The earbuds will come in an oval-shaped charging case. The Realme Buds Air 5 Pro are confirmed to feature 11mm coaxial dual drivers including 6mm tweeters. The regular version of the Realme Buds Air 5 is said to come with 12.4mm drivers.
Both models are said to offer ANC functionality, which is said to reduce external noise by up to 50dB. The Realme Buds Air 5 are listed as offering Dolby Atmos audio technology, while the Realme Buds Air 5 Pro are confirmed to offer Hi-Res audio. The Realme Buds Air 5 are claimed to offer up to 7 hours of music playback time on a 10-minute charge.
The Realme Buds Air 5 is expected to serve as the successor to last year’s Realme Buds Air 3 (review). They were launched in April last year and are priced at Rs. 3,999.
