Xu Qicai, president of Realme China, has confirmed that the Realme GT 5 will launch in China soon. While the company has not revealed an exact launch date, key details of the smartphone have been revealed, including the RAM. The smartphone is expected to come with up to 24GB of RAM. In addition, Weibo also revealed the charging details and some other features of the phone. The smartphone may debut as the successor to the Realme GT 3 that was launched earlier this year.

according to detail Xu Qicai, president of Realme China, said that the upcoming Realme GT 5 will be equipped with up to 24GB RAM. He also hinted that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Additionally, the smartphone has also been confirmed to support 240W fast charging.

However, Chase did not disclose the exact launch date of the Realme GT 5. The company has not revealed other key details about the phone, either.

The Realme GT 5 could succeed the Realme GT 3 that was launched earlier this year. The latter features a 6.74-inch 1.5K (1,240×2,772 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 360Hz. The display is also said to offer 1,400 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It runs on Android 13 and comes with Realme UI 4.0.

In terms of optics, the Realme GT 3 features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor with an f/1.88 lens that supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The rear camera setup also features an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 112-degree field of view and f/3.3 lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video chats, the phone has a 16-megapixel sensor on the front.
