The launch of the Tecno Phantom V Flip could happen soon. The Transsion Holdings subsidiary has yet to confirm an official launch date for the smartphone, but before then, the clamshell foldable phone is said to have appeared on the Google Play Console website with model number AD11. The listing shows that the Tecno Phantom V Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. It is expected to run Android 13. Tecno’s foldable smartphone portfolio currently includes the Tecno Phantom V Fold, which went official earlier this year.
A Reporter Pricebaba posted screenshots of the listing of the Tecno Phantom V Flip on the Google Play Console website. The screenshots show the model number of the device AD11. The listing reveals that the upcoming phone comes with 8GB of RAM and Android 13 OS. It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with ARM Mali G77 GPU. The listing showcases the flip phone’s Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1,080 by 2,640 pixels and a pixel density of 480ppi.
Additionally, the Google Play Console listing is said to include an official image showing the Tecno Phantom V Flip with a hole-punch design and a curved display.
As of now, Tecno has not mentioned anything about the existence of the Tecno Phantom V Flip. Past leaks have suggested an October release schedule for the device. It is expected to be available in Film White, Minimalist Black, and Periwinkle Purple.
The Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G is expected to feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED full HD+ main display and a 1.32-inch AMOLED outer panel with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. Past reports have suggested that the phone will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage.
It may flaunt a dual camera unit at the rear consisting of a 64-megapixel primary rear sensor and a 13-megapixel sensor. Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G may feature a 32-megapixel front camera. It may come with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
Tecno currently has a book-style foldable Tecno Phantom V Fold in its product portfolio. Launched in India in April, the phone is priced at Rs. 88,888. The upcoming Tecno Phantom V Flip is expected to compete with the likes of the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Oppo Find N2 Flip and Moto Razr 40.
