Realme GT 5 was launched in China on Monday as the company’s latest GT-series smartphone. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. There are only two other phones in the world with 24GB of RAM right now: the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro and Nubia’s Red Magic 8S Pro+. Realme’s latest smartphone charges up to 240W and comes in three RAM and storage configurations.
Realme GT 5 pricing, availability
The base version of the Realme GT 5 is priced at 2,999 yuan and comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The machine also has a 16GB+512GB storage configuration, priced at 3299 yuan. Customers who want 24GB of RAM paired with 1TB of storage and 240W fast charging can pick up the top model for 3,799 yuan.

For selfies and video chats, the Realme GT 5 features a 16-megapixel front camera with Samsung S5K3P9 sensor and f/2.45 aperture.
The Realme GT 5 comes with up to 1TB of UFS 4 storage and the phone offers a range of connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, NavIC and a USB Type-C port . It is equipped with an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and ambient light and proximity sensors. Realme has also equipped the Awakening Halo System Pro notification LED module next to the rear camera.
The Realme GT 5 is equipped with an infrared (IR) blaster that allows the phone owner to remotely control home appliances and electronics. The phone comes in two battery and charging configurations: a 5,240mAh battery with 150W fast charging support, and a 4,600mAh battery with 240W fast charging support. However, the latter is only available on the top RAM and storage configurations. It measures 163.13×75.38×8.9mm and weighs 205g.
